Jess Astrella is a freelance illustrator and graphic designer.
She works analog with gouache, colored pencil, calligraphy nibs + ink, Blackwing pencils, and brush pens- then magicks it all together with the power of the Adobe Suite.
Additionally she works digitally in Procreate, and the Google Work Suite, and knows her way around a Squarespace backend.
She also has a ton of print experience from her time owning a bespoke paper goods + invitations company, Boarding School Collective.
She loves to work with collaborative, focused, respectful, clients who aim to bring something beautiful, creative, fun, and empowering to market.
After stints in NYC, Austin, and a weird few months on a farm in Costa Rica, she's right back where she started, in Portland, Oregon with her family - including two kids, who are probably the reason she hasn’t returned your email, yet. Oh, and they have a dog named Mozzarella that you can only see pictures of on Instagram at:

(Her full name was Jessica Rose Crowell, which is where the nickname/old brand "J.RoCro" comes from - but she got married and blindly fell into the trap of the patriarchy and changed her name and chaos now reigns in the branding department of her life. It's fine, she's working through it, still).
